Diversity Increases Chances of Success for Startups

As an entrepreneur, in the early stages of building a business, Ackerman advises startups to seek diversity. In his vision and at his company, Matthew values and appreciate diversity, which he defines as a collection of different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences.

Ackerman believes this variety of inputs from people who offer unique contributions strengthen his company’s goals and mission. When creating a plan, contingencies must always be anticipated and having people with different experience levels helps envision not only what can potentially go wrong but also leads to solutions to determine what should, and probably will, go right.

All in all, for Ackerman, leveraging diversity in a business should be a strong priority of entrepreneurs if they are looking to increase their chances of finding success.
