CRI Director Dick Co and Argonne National Lab Director Paul Kearns ring the Nasdaq Opening Bell.

On July 9th, Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI), the entrepreneurship program and Argonne National Laboratory, rang the Nasdaq Opening Bell as one of Chicago Innovation’s 22nd annual award winners. This award recognizes Chicago’s top corporate, startup and non-profit innovators to commemorate the breadth of innovation in Chicago. Watch video on the event. CRI Director Dick Co and Argonne Lab Director Paul Kearns rang the bell on behalf of Argonne.

The award, given in November 2023, honored CRI for demonstrating a commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship and the betterment of communities. In addition, the program was recognized for solving unmet needs, creating jobs and generating new funding in the Chicago metro area. The Chicago Innovation Awards is the largest annual celebration of new products, services and organizations across industries and sectors in the Midwest.

As part of its Chicago Innovation Award, CRI was recognized by Nasdaq in New York City.
