First Chain Reaction Innovations cohort: Ian Hamilton

Ian Hamilton is one of the innovators selected for the first cohort of Chain Reaction Innovations, a new two-year program that offers innovators with energy- or science-based ideas a home at Argonne National Laboratory for two years, where they’ll have time to develop and scale their technologies to a level that will capture investor and consumer interest. His company aims to create new long-lived, lightweight weather-independent power by recycling the by-product of nuclear waste decay to create electricity.
