
Innovators working on energy and science technologies can get two years worth of financial and technical support by applying to a new incubator at Argonne National Laboratory. The application period opened July 12 for the incubator named Chain Reaction Innovations. Applications are due by 5 p.m. CST August 12, 2016, here: http://chainreaction.anl.gov/apply/.
Participants benefit in the following ways for two years:
- Up to $350,000 to spend on research at Argonne Laboratory, guidance in the use of cutting-edge equipment, and access to onsite office and lab space.
- Potential collaboration partners from the 1,600 engineers and scientists working in a multitude of disciplines at Argonne Laboratory.
- Up to $100,000 in a fellowship that covers salary and benefits to enable an entrepreneur to focus full-time on the startup.
- A connection to a partner mentor organization that offers assistance in developing business strategies, conducting market research, and finding long-term financing and potential commercial partners. This will help entrepreneurs identify crucial entry markets and identify customer traction and technical feasibility as early as possible.
